Minimally Invasive Surgery Week 2014

Minimally Invasive Surgery Week 2014

The inaugural “SLS Great Debates” was held at the 2014 Minimally Invasive Surgery Week meeting in Las Vegas, Nevada. Speakers debated the advantages and disadvantages and the evidence supporting both for laparoscopic and robotic surgery. Board Members Farr Nezhat, MD and Philip P. Shadduck, MD (pictured) acted as referees for the debates, and even dressed the part. The packed audience sounded a winner with their cheers at the end. Look for the return of the SLS Great Debates at the next MIS Week Meeting in New York City this September. ©SLS
