In the field of minimally invasive surgery, technologies have changed, approaches to surgery have changed and, in many cases, the methodologies have transformed as well. The goal of operating to solve a problem in the least invasive way has not altered, however. Looking at its history, Dr. Herbert Goldfarb, past chairman of New York Downtown Hospital, will show how we are evolving diagnosis, moving from a reactionary approach to a fuller treatment program that produces better results in fibroid treatment.
