MISWeek’16 To Include Local Boston Expert in 3D Printing and Robots
Medicine’s Future: Where We Are Going with Inventions Like 3-D Printing and Humanoid Robots?
MISWeek, the annual medical conference for surgeons of many disciplines, is coming to Boston this year, with local experts presenting on new developments and predictions for key technologies that influence surgery. While humanoid robots will not start doing your household chores and the 3-D printer can’t yet replace purchasing things in the store, the progress made in these technologies has been so rapid that it is certainly worthwhile to explore the state of the art of these technologies. Professor Marc Raibert of Boston Dynamics will show how much improved human-like robots are, and Dr. Michael McAlpine will demonstrate how truly extraordinary the science of 3-D printing has become, and why you may soon want one of your own. Attend this session and speculate on how much of a game-changer these once fictional dreams will be for our daily lives.
